I GOT A STORY TO TELL!

November 30, 2016 by Lada

Peace and Love everyone!

I hope all is alright and that everyone is in good health spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. I know its been a lil' minute since I've posted. I've been so busy with school and everything else that this fell to the wayside. HOWEVER, I'm back and have so much to share with y'all.

So many things have been reinforced to me over the past couple of weeks, its crazy lol.

Back in early November, I was FINALLY given money that was owed to me. This was an issue from the end of August to the beginning of November. "Them who shall not be named" owedme a large sum of money and was refusing to pay up when the time came. They were very nonchalant and unapologetic about it. This time was so agonizing for me and the thoughts that followed was unsettling but I had to actively "shoo" away these thoughts and really change my position on how to handle the situation. I could accept that this person wouldn't give me the money and there was nothing I could do about it. Legally, I could only sue if I went to California to sue, thus spending the same amount of money they owed me to get there lol. After the persons compliance shifted to straight up ignoring me and giving little to no information, I damn near lost my mind. At this time, I was just starting back school which is already a challenge in itself and had to work and do my internship. Thankfully I had money to pay rent but the money that was owed to me was MINE and I wanted it back. My peoples had to calm me down on occasions and I used to wake up ANGRY. Literally. Teeth grinding, jaw tightened, straight scowl on my face. I would be going about my day and all of a sudden, the situation would pop into my head and I'd get anxious and angry all over again at the fact that I couldn't do anything about it. I didn't want to share this story with anyone because I didn't want to hear about what I should do or what I should've did or what other people would've done. That's annoying and wasn't helpful at the time. If you had no money for me to get to Cali and wasn't contributing to my wellbeing, I didn't want to hear it.

Long story short though even though I kind of took y'all through the long version lol, I got my money back. I prayed about it. Seriously. There was one weekend I was hitting this person up and they were straight ignoring me but I saw them active on Facebook. Going out to bars, the beach, raising money in church for a fundraiser but not giving me my coins. LORD. That Sunday I went to church and the message encouraged me to pray for the person. PRAY FOR WHO??? that was so hard for me to do y'all. Pray for someone who obviously didn't give a damn if I ate or had shelter?? I did though, on my way home and they ended up hitting me up that night. I had to practice patience. I had to quiet my mind of negative thoughts. I had to think through my actions. I had to be alright no matter what the outcome was going to be. Thankfully, this person didn't stop me from eating, didn't stop me from being able to provide, didn't stop me from having shelter and overall, didn't stop me from doing what needed to be done to secure my future. I almost gave this person too much power.

I have been tested mentally, financially, physically and spiritually but it all has bought me closer to God and the universe. As I've said before, when the universe talks, LISTEN!
