you melted pieces of ivory
added in bolts of steel
used those to mold
my bones
stacked and snapped
them into place
so that i may stand firm
built my muscles
of bulletproof glass
and stained them with
a mixture of raindrops
powdered rubies
and a spoon of honey
all sparked by a lightning bolt
so that i may contain
the beauty of a storm
wrapped in my veins
you combined golden glitter,
smooth cocoa,
and brown sugar
to construct my skin
on top my head
you gave me the hair
of a goddess, dark spirals
painted wild and unruly
i am magic filled
because you built me
from scratch.
