Egypt Ufele Interview on self love and pursuing her passions

1) After facing bullying and being stabbed with a pencil, it can be very hard to see the positive qualities in yourself. How do you practice self-love?

Hurt people, Hurt people! My mom taught me to never fight back with anger. Positive thinking clears the mind and soul. 

2) What are some social justice issues you are passionate about?

My social justice issue is Body Shaming.  Body Shamingis everywhere and I am bringing awareness through Fashion.

3) What advice do you have for children and adults who have a hard time appreciating their bodies?

My advice is always know where you come from. I come from a family of African Kings & Queens and my destiny was mapped out from my ancestors. 

I appreciate my curves because it genetically identifies my Nigerian Culture. Love yourself and others will see your strength. 

4) Do you have any other passions or talents?

I am an excellent mentor & activists for children. 

My passion is being a chemist one day

5) Name a song/lyric that gives you confidence.

6) Describe a hardship that you’ve overcome with creating Chubiiline? 

The hardship I have overcome is people taking me serious as a 11 year oldCEO.

7) Is there anything about you (race, gender, religion, etc.) that helps to motivate you

My life is motivated by who I am Egypt Ufele. Nothing can stop me but me. God is my strength and salvation.

8) Describe one of your happiest moments in creating Chubiiline?

My happiest moments was NYFW when every Model wanted too walk for me. 

9) What can we all do, as a society, to appreciate the diversity of our bodies? 

Society has come along way but stop assuming one size fits all. We are deverse from our families genetic make up.

10) Where do you hope to see Chubiiline in the next 5 years?

I see Chubiiline is a brand & my Legacy will contiune too grow to show a message that anything is possible. Chubiiline will be a household name & around the world. 

Lada: I've seen Egypt's story online and was amazed by her bravery and talent. I emailed Egypt's peoplesand was so surprised when they got back to me lo. She's been featured on CNN, TOday, pix11, and most TD jakes . She actually completed this interview while flying to his show! I wish Egypt continued success!
